Iron Mine:
(1) Hammersley. The largest iron ore production center is Rio Tinto's Hammersley mine, which includes nine iron mines in Western Australia. These assets are managed and maintained by Pilbara Iron Mine as an independent business. As the world's largest iron ore production center, Hammersley also has the lowest cost.
(2) Karagas. The Karagas Mine Complex in Vale is the world's second largest iron ore production center, consisting of three open-pit mines called Karagas N4E, N4W, and N5, respectively.
(3) Chichester Center. The Chichester Center of FMG includes two iron mines, Christmas Bay and Duanyun. At present, the Chichester Center has become one of the largest iron ore production centers in the world.
Silver Mine:
(1) Mexico's Shaoxito Silver Mine. In 2016, the silver production at the Shoceto silver mine in Mexico was close to 22 million ounces, making it the world's largest silver mining operation.
(2) Escobar Silver Mine in Guatemala. Eskovar Mine is the second largest silver mine in the world, located southeast of the dangerous land of Mara. Tahoe Resources uses underground deep hole mining and differential flotation methods to produce mixed concentrates rich in lead and zinc.
(3) Dukat Silver Mine in Russia. Ducat Silver Mine is not only one of Polymetal's first and original assets, but also the largest primary silver producer in Russia.
